This series consists of correspondence concerning work performed by the Emergency Conservation Work, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and the Federal Emergency Relief Administration in national parks, monuments, and recreational areas. The correspondence also contains reports, maps, and photographs documenting the history, archeology, geology, and wildlife of various parks in Region III. Parks mentioned in this series include Arches National Monument (NM), Aztec Ruins NM, Bandelier NM, Big Bend National Park (NP), Black Canyon of the Gunnison NM, Boulder Dam National Recreational Area (NRA), Bryce Canyon NP, Canyon de Chelly NM, Capitol Reef NM, Carlsbad Caverns NP, Casa Grande Ruins NM, Cedar Breaks NM, Chiricahua NM, Colorado NM, Capulin Mountain NM, Grand Canyon NP, Great Sand Dunes NM, Hot Springs NP, Lake Texoma NRA, Lehman Caves of Great Basin NM, Mesa Verde NP, Organ Pipe Cactus NM, Petrified Forest NM, Platt NP, Timpanogas Cave NM, Walnut Canyon NM, Wupatki NM, and Zion NP. Additionally, there is also correspondence concerning CCC camp NP-12 (Mount Elden) in Flagstaff, Arizona.
